About Me

About Me

I'm a 36 year old mom of 3 (all three years apart). I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and have my NASM Certified Nutrition Coach and Weight Loss Specialist.  I am always crazy busy and absolutely detest going to the gym and even if I loved it, it would be more than a notion to get a babysitter for me to get my time in! Since I started my true wellness journey after my 3rd child I have been able to achieve all I have all from home and want everyone to know they can do it too!

Let me start by telling you I have ALWAYS struggled with body image and never realized that I had a downright unhealthy relationship with food (yes that is possible!) Am I eating too much? Am I not eating enough? I can't eat those cookies because I want to be skinny. It took A LOT of growing up to realize that isn't how God intended us to be and harboring those thoughts not only led to the wrong outlook on food, but I wasn't getting ANY closer to my goals! Once macros came into my life it was like a whole new me! It has led to a total transformation in the way I view eating, exercising, and my body in general. I mean, it made such a difference in my life it led me to get my nutrition certification and become a certified personal trainer JUST so I could help people like myself who are struggling and can't seem to get anywhere. The best part about it , is it's FUN and it's easy to sustain because you really don't have to tell yourself no! It also helps with making better, healthier choices when it comes to food and teaches you that there is actually a way to have a healthy relationship with food and takes any guilt you may have away!

So, In the last three years I've gone from eating whatever I wanted (or things that I thought were good for my IBS) to knowing the right things to put in my body as fuel and have gained the ability to discern the appropriate foods that my body needs. It is crucial to note that everyone is different and what works for some doesn't work for all.

I've been able to sustain and maintain fat loss while minimizing muscle loss. The strides I've made in the last 2 years are monumental both nutritionally and physically. I am much more healthy and fit than I have ever been. The key is consistency and knowing that it is all about progression. Nothing truly sustainable happens quickly and overnight. If you start with that mindset of knowing that, you will thrive. It WILL come but you have to trust the process.
